Ideally, a conventional think tank produces research and policy recommendations from a distance, gets hands on in some way, and interacts with the populations it intends to serve – hopefully. This one is built differently:

A Quaint Think Tank is a hub where research, policy, and collectivizing take form in all the mediums human connection takes form in. It is a place where the research and the data points that touch those people most affected, or within those communities in some way, shape, or form, are mobilized with a real way to participate. We are not here to study a community, we are here to render how they want to be witnessed. Four commitments define this for us:

Policy

We are driven to change policy that affirms human connection for everyone, as a high-stakes need for humans.

Innovation

We are motivated to shape the direction of innovation in AI, technology, art, education, clinical practice, and more, to favor affirming human connection.

Collective

We are collectivized and built to remind an ever-evolving world that there is no single correct way to connect, and to hold that plurality institutionally, rhetorically, and discursively.

Legitimacy

We exist to legitimize what could be human connection.
